Welcome to ASC

The ASC 46 offers its more than 9,500 members an extensive and varied range of sports activities, including classical disciplines such as swimming, gymnastics, basketball, table tennis, gymnastics and dancing, as well as health and recreational sports meeting the latest medical requirements. Infant sports are also an important pillar of the ASC program. It is not so much the training of talents to become competitive athletes as the general training of the child's musculoskeletal system that is at the heart of sports philosophy. This is particularly evident in children's, play, sports and exercise schools. In ASC 46, everyone should be able to exercise according to their preferences and personal goals. Under the large ASC roof, therefore, top-class and general competition athletes as well as leisure sports-oriented contemporaries find their place.

In fact, diversity is the trump card at ASC 46, which is not only one of the largest clubs in Lower Saxony, but also one of the oldest in Germany. In 1996, the “Royal Blues” celebrated their 150th anniversary. But no one has rested on historical laurels. In spite of all the care for tradition, we have always looked to the future. Thanks to a foresighted management of the ASC 46, it has been possible to adapt to the constantly changing social conditions. The ASC 46 opened up to recreational and health sports at a time when others were still following traditional sports concepts. In this way, the association was able to set new standards in the areas of health and infant sports. In seniors’ sports, on the other hand, he has gone completely new ways. Sport is just a spot on a colourful palette of social and cultural events. Choirs, theatre groups and orchestras complete the sports activities of the senior citizens’ community. The ASC 46 Club House has three halls with spacious facilities for intergenerational sports meetings. The result of this development is a modern large club that faces the challenges of the present without denying its history and tradition.
